Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science
SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to advancing Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in science, comprised of individuals and organizations interested in quality science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) research, teaching, leadership, and policy.
- Extensive student resources support students in developing their potential through a variety of initiatives. Interactive research and career planning tools help students define their career goals, while research grants are available to support the work of higher education students. In addition, resources for starting a student chapter enable students to build a strong STEM network on their own campus.
- Professional development offerings for educators include symposia, workshops, and web tools to advance STEM topic and teaching skills. Professionals can also serve as mentors for students to help advise student chapters or provide career planning support.
